Wildcat's Bracket Battle, Episode Two

Well, the NCAA Tournament is well underway, and Frank and I were pleased to see the Kentucky Wildcats survived their first round battle against UAB, winning 69 to 64. We aren’t optimistic about them surviving the second round, though. They’ve got to beat Connecticut, the number one team in the Washington, D.C. bracket. Speaking of brackets, Frank and I took some time this evening to see how we were doing with our predictions for the Tournament.

Needless to say, Frank is no longer allowed to visit CNNSI.com anymore. Who knew they put that kind of stuff on there? Anyway, for anyone curious to see how our brackets look, here’s a link to mine and Frank’s.

By the way, wanted to say thanks to AOL’s “sazziest” blogging poet, Dianna. She’s this week’s guest editor and named the Wildcat’s Lair as one of her picks. Thanks, Dianna, and congrats on being this week’s guest editor!

Wildcat's Bracket Battle

With the 2006 NCAA Tournament starting today, Frank and I decided to make it interesting and put together our bracket, predicting the winners. We’ll wait until a later entry to reveal our wager. Right now, Frank’s too busy trying to finish his bracket before the tournament begins.

Wildcats Can't Jump

Frank was excited when he learned the Kentucky Wildcats had made it into the NCAA Tournament. They’ll face UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham) in the first round up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Friday.

As it turns out, Frank doesn’t really know that much about basketball. He just likes gambling on the NCAA Tournament, so I took him down to the gym to give him a few pointers about the game.
